Abstract:
The debate on the automation of creativity in the field of AI is primarily about simulating the creativity of humans, which is often associated with a mimetic appropriation of "humanly" produced art. This contribution argues against such parallelisation and examines, in the field of digital literature, a medium- and media-specific approach that derives artistic criteria from the structure of the technology used, rather than using a comparison with "human" works as a point of reference.

Hannes Bajohr wurde mit einer Dissertation über Hans Blumenbergs Sprachtheorie an der Columbia University, New York promoviert und ist derzeit wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Seminar für Medienwissenschaft der Universität Basel. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte umfassen die Philosophiegeschichte des 20. Jahrhunderts, Politische Theorie sowie Theorien des Digitalen. Als Autor digitaler konzeptueller Literatur ist er Mitglied des Textkollektivs 0x0a. Zuletzt erschienen: Halbzeug.
